Circulation Policy
Library Cards
Issued free to patrons with two (2) proofs of current mailing address: and a driver’s license.
No minimum age required to obtain a library card. Youth under the age of 18 need a parent/guardian’s signature along with two (2) forms of parent/guardian’s identification.
Replacement charge for lost or damaged card is $1.00.
You are responsible for all the material checked out on your library card. If your card is lost or stolen report it to the library immediately.
A library card must be presented to check out any library materials.
Loan Periods
- FOUR WEEKS for books and audio books.
- ONE WEEK for magazines and pamphlets (current magazines may not be checked out).
- ONE WEEK for fiction or nonfiction videos and DVD’s.
- ONE WEEK for most Reference materials. Some may be used only in the library.
To renew materials you must have your library card or give your card number. You may do this over the telephone. Only one (1) renewal period for each item is allowed.
NO material including the computer may be checked out if the card holder has a fine of more than $2.00.
Late, Damaged or Lost Materials
Books, magazines, pamphlets, audio tapes: $.05 per item per day.
Reference material with one (1) week checkout is $.25 per day.
Maximum charge is $6.00 per item.
Videos & DVDs: $2.00 per day.
LIMIT ON VIDEOS or DVD’s: 3 PER FAMILY. Maximum charge is $6.00 per video.
If not rewound, the fine will be $1.00 per video.
Lost and damaged materials: replacement cost of item.
