Library Closed

Effective at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, March 18th, the Lester Public Library of Rome closed to the public to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This closure will remain in effect until further notice. We will be reevaluating the situation daily and will provide further updates if these plans should change.

Our library has always been about community and this decision was made out of the utmost concern for the health, safety, and well-being of library patrons, staff, and the community at large.

During the closure, patrons are encouraged to keep their items at home until after we reopen. Holds currently waiting will not expire and will be available for pick up when we re-open. We will be extending due dates on all materials for the convenience of everyone. We are a fine free library, so no need to worry about overdue fees.

Until then, you can find updates on our website and Facebook page. You can access eBooks and eAudiobooks through OverDrive and Libby.

We appreciate your understanding during this uncertain time, and we look forward to serving you in the future.

You can contact me through email or phone with any questions or concerns -  rdaley [at] romepubliclibrary.org (rdaley[at]romepubliclibrary[dot]org) or 715-325-8990.

Sincerely,
Renee Daley
Director, Lester Public Library of Rome
