Question, Persuade and Refer. Three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide.

Join us for a FREE training and learn how to:
- recognize the warning signs of suicide
- question someone about potential suicidal thoughts
- persuade someone to seek help
- refer someone for professional assistance

The training will last for approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on questions. Please pre-register by phone, 608-339-4375 or email, suzanne.schreiner [at] co.adams.wi.us.

Recognizing suicide warning signs early and knowing how to respond can help prevent a suicide from occurring and get life-saving help to those that need it. QPR training is like CPR, it saves lives! Training more people on how to question, persuade and refer a person in crisis will lead to more lives saved and prevented suicides.

Sarena and Suzanne, members of Prevent Suicide Adams County and employees of Adams County Health & Human Services Department are certified for the next 3 years to offer the QPR trainings to the community and local agencies. Sarena and Suzanne were able to complete the certification process because of the money that was raised during our Annual Walk/Bicycle Ride that was held in September of 2018 (THANK YOU ADAMS COUNTY‼️‼️ Save the date for the 2019 Annual Walk, Run & Bicycle Ride - 9/7/19).
