Summer is almost here and we are very excited for our 2024 Children's Summer Reading Program! This years theme is, "Open For Adventure." We will be having lots of great performers, crafts, and prizes to earn for all of your reading! Please stop in at the Library Circulation Desk to get registered for this fun summer event!
We are kicking off our Summer Reading Program with special guests, "Miller & Mike!" The Miller and Mike comedy juggling extravaganza, is a high energy, crowd pleasing show. It showcases circus skills, audience interactions and lots of good clean comedy! This show is open to families and all ages!

Come and paint with us! We will have a cute collection of Spring Ceramic Gnomes to choose from. Add your special touch to make it your own! All craft supplies will be provided and are free of charge. Stop in or call to reserve your spot!
Our Lego Challenge Program, will be a fun family event for all! If you have a creative side, create your own Lego Masterpiece or get inspired with some of the designs we will have on display. We will be displaying your finished Lego creations throughout the Children's Area in the Library! This event is drop in, no need to register.

This instructional program will begin with a performance by Danielle Lee. Then it's time to get hooping! Participants will learn beginner friendly hula hoop moves through the 10-Trick Game. Danielle will lead hoop based creative movement exploration exercises, partner/group activities and games! This event is open to all ages.
Join Laurie Francis, Robert Stoldt, and the Rome Garden Club for a DIY stepping stone workshop. This is a FREE event organized by the Rome Garden Club. Registration is required! Please call the library or sign up at the circulation desk.
Come and join the fun and create your own sand art piece! We will have two crafts kits to choose from and lot of fun, colorful sand. This is a drop in program, no registration required.

This event will be sure to get your children excited, with a Jedi that will battle for the planet's ecosystems! Light Saber duels and the Dark Side all show up for a romp through the galaxy of fun. This is a family friendly event!
Come and learn some cool things about Science, with Steve Belliveau. This event will offer lots of audience participation, humor, music and great experiments! This is a family friendly event.
Join us for a family friendly movie under the stars! (Weather Permitting) We will provide some small snacks and beverages, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Also, please bring a blanket or chair for yourselves so that you can comfortably view the movie!
If you enjoy painting and stenciling, this event is for you! All supplies will be included and are free of charge. We will have Canvas Tote Bags, a variety of pre-cut vinyl stencil designs, and lots of paint colors to choose from! Please stop in or call the Library to register. Ages 8 and up welcome! (Adults please supervise the younger children)
Children will have the opportunity to interact and learn about animals, with special guest Noelle Bezio! Noelle has visited our Library in years past and brings different animals each time to keep the experience exciting and fresh. This program is a family friendly event.

Come and join the fun at Papa Bears Mini Golf Course in Rome! Participants will receive one free game of golf and an ice cream treat!
Come decorate our sidewalks at the Library! We will have some images for inspiration, or use your imagination and create your own. Participants will receive a popsicle and a fun little prize to take home with them!
