2018 Summer Reading Program

This year's theme is "Libraries Rock" and we couldn't agree more!

Registration begins June 1st. Come into the library and sign up for the reading program. 

Keep track of your reading minutes and hand in your slips to win prizes.

Our first Summer Program will begin on Tuesday, June 12th at 2:30pm in the Community Room.

People of all ages are invited to join us for a Summer full of reading, performances and crafts.


Children's Program Schedule:

Week 1: Tuesday, June 12th at 2:30pm-Performer: Randy Peterson

Week 2: Tuesday,June 19th at 2:30pm-Performer: Necedah Wildlife Refuge-“Nature Rocks”

Week 3:Tuesday, June 26th at 2:30pm-Craft Day: SHARK WEEK!

Week 4: Tuesday,  July 3rd   No Summer Reading Program Activity- Enjoy your holiday!

Week 5:Tuesday, July 10th at 2:30 pm-Performer: Tom Pease

Week 6: Tuesday,July 17th at 2:30pm-Author: Gaylee Warner

Week 7: Tuesday, July 24th at 2:30pm-Christmas in July Craft: Gingerbread Ornaments/ Snow Globes

Week 8: Tuesday, July 31st at 2:30pm-Finale – Games, Snacks, and Prizes

Week 1: Thursday, June 14th at 6:00 pm-Craft Day: Painting Bookends

Week 2: Thursday,  June 21st at 6:00 pm-Live Action Angry Birds

Week 3: Thursday, June 28th at 6:00 pm-Craft Day: Create your own Animal Bookmark

Week 4: Thursday, July 5th-No Summer Reading Program Activity-Enjoy your holiday!

Week 5: Thursday, July 12th at 6:00 pm-Cupcake Wars- Registration Required

Week 6: Thursday, July 19th at 6:00 pm-Craft Day: Mug Decorations and Snow Globe Creation

Week 7: Thursday, July 26th at 6:00 pm-Finale – Dance party, Snacks, and Prizes

Teen Program: Painting Bookends

Thursday, June 14, 2018 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
1157 Rome Center Dr, Nekoosa, WI 54457

Come to the library and use your imagination to help us decorate the bookends we use around the library. Once finished, we will display them around the library for the community to admire.

This program is open to ages 12& up.
